1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vava Dessert Tables website (vavadesserttables.ca) and the dessert table styling, dessert catering, and food catering services we provide. By using our website, submitting a quote request, or booking an event with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.

2. About Our Services

Vava Dessert Tables provides custom-styled dessert tables, dessert catering, savoury pastries, croissants, salads, and related catering services for events across the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Richmond Hill, North York, Markham, Vaughan, Mississauga, and Scarborough. Specific menus, styling, and delivery details are confirmed in your individual booking proposal.

3. Quotes and Proposals

Quotes provided via our contact form, email, or phone are estimates based on the information you share. A quote becomes a binding booking only once a written proposal has been issued by us, accepted by you in writing, and the required deposit has been received. Pricing in a quote is valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

4. Booking and Deposits

A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total proposal amount is required to confirm and reserve your event date. The date is held only once the deposit is received. The balance is due no later than seven (7) days before the event, unless the proposal specifies different terms. For approved corporate accounts, we offer net-30 invoicing.

5. Cancellations and Changes

• Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event are eligible for a refund of the deposit minus a small administrative fee that covers planning work already performed.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of the event are non-refundable; the 50% deposit is forfeited and any balance already paid is non-refundable.
• Date changes are accommodated where possible, subject to availability. A change of more than 30 days from the original date may be treated as a new booking.
• Final guest counts must be confirmed at least 7 days before the event. Increases above the contracted count are subject to availability and additional charges.

6. Allergens and Dietary Disclaimer

We take dietary requirements seriously and offer gluten-free, nut-free, vegetarian, vegan, and halal options on many menu items. However, our products are made in shared kitchen facilities that handle wheat, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, and other common allergens. We cannot guarantee that any item is completely free of cross-contact. Guests with severe allergies should make their own informed decisions, and we are not liable for any allergic reactions that occur.

7. Delivery, Setup, and Venue Access

You are responsible for providing accurate venue details, ensuring our team has timely access to the load-in area, and confirming that the event space, table, and power access (where required) are ready for setup. Delays caused by venue access issues, parking restrictions, or incorrect information may shorten setup time and we cannot be held responsible for quality or completeness of setup that results from such delays.

8. Photography and Intellectual Property

All photographs taken by us or on our behalf at events, including images of our dessert tables, styling, and props, remain the intellectual property of Vava Dessert Tables. We may use these photographs in our portfolio, on social media, and in marketing materials. If you do not wish for photos of your event to be used publicly, please tell us in writing before the event.

All website content, including text, graphics, logos, photos, and design, is the property of Vava Dessert Tables and protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish any content without our written permission.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost goodwill, or loss of enjoyment.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, road closures, public-health restrictions, equipment failure, or actions of third-party suppliers. In such cases, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule or adjust the booking.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
